Yields: 4 dozen
cookies
1 cup Crisco
baking sticks
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
2 ¼ cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions:
Heat oven to
400° . Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1 ½
cups sugar and the eggs. Blend in flour, cream of
tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded
teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 2 tablespoons
sugar and the cinnamon; roll balls in mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Immediately
remove from baking sheet.
